Once again they are gearing up to watch filmmakers RACE AGAINST THE CLOCK!!! Are you up for the challenge?
Join them May long weekend (May 20-22, 2022) and show off your filmmaking chops.
Teams are given a genre, prop, and line of dialogue to use and will then have 48 hours to write, shoot and edit their film. All films that are completed before the deadline and meet the guidelines of the challenge will be screened during the 2022 Okotoks Film Festival, and awards will be presented to films for Best Film, Best Use of Prop, Best Use of Line, Best Use of Genre and Audience Choice. Teams of all skill levels and ages are welcome to compete.
The screening will be at the Okotoks Cinemas on June 5th at 7 PM.
This year the handout of packages will be done in person at the Okotoks Town Plaza. There will be a short handout presentation, some snacks, and a chance to meet the other filmmakers. Your boxes will also be stuffed full of goodies and your challenge prop. Films must be submitted online before the deadline to be counted. If you are unable to attend the handout presentation 5:30-6 PM on May 20, please let them know when you register.
