Join us for a special edition of Nature Friday to celebrate Environment Week with reading time, crafting recycled paper, outdoor scavenger hunt, and an outdoor walk! If you've never been to this vibrant, cheerful, interactive space - you need to visit! There's plenty to learn—for people of all ages!

Drop into the Environmental Education Centre anytime throughout the day, and join one of our Conservation Educators for FREE, fun educational activities themed around a different aspect of nature and our local environment each week!

Bike/Scoot to the event!

As part of celebrating Environment Week, we encourage you to bike, scoot, or walk to the event and use your own energy to get here!

Here's what we've going on this week:

8 AM - 4 PMExplore: Open to the public to explore

10 AM

Reading time: Books provided by our friends at the Okotoks Public Library, read by a few Town Councillors!
10:15 AM Craft: Learn how to make recycled paper!
1 PM

Walking tour: join our conservation educators for an outdoor walk to explore the interpretive signage around the Environmental Education Centre 

  • Outdoor Scavenger Hunt
  • Come by to drop off your completed Environment Week Bingo cards to be entered into the draw for a prize! 

Please note: parents must stay with their children while they are in the education centre.

Hours: the Environmental Education Centre is open Monday to Friday to the public from 8 AM to 4 PM. Fridays a staff member will be on hand running activities, and will be available to chat with the public and answer questions.
