With 99 parks and over 85kms in walking, hiking and biking trails, Okotoks visitors can count on mild weather from Spring to late Fall, and 330 days of sunshine each year to enjoy the outdoors.
A hearty brunch
Start your day off with a large brunch at The Canadian Brewhouse. Whether it’s the four egg cheese omelette or the Southern Alberta Chicken & Waffles, or something lighter, be sure to fill up before a long day outdoors.
A mighty walk
After you’re done your brunch, head on over to Rotary Park to start your in-town pathway adventure. As you head off, you can see a number of neat statues located on the path and make sure you stop by the Epcor Environmental Education Centre to learn about our local ecosystem.
A dip in the Sheep River
Once you’ve finished your exploring, walk on down and dip your toes in the Sheep River. If you’re feeling up to it, you can grab a fishing rod and try to catch some local fish, or forget fishing altogether and just pull up a camp chair and relax.
An un-traditional patio
The George Traditional House is a great place to sit outside and enjoy the outdoor fireplace while sipping on a beverage. All of the food is made in house, and the Fish and Chips are a local favorite. Build up that energy because you’ll need it for your evening game of mini golf at The MaxMan’s Mini Golf at Crystal Ridge.
